This Is Ann's Story

On February 9th 2024 My wife and I as parents faced our worse night mare.We noticed that Ann had not come down to fix herself something to eat. We knew she had problems  and we was doing all that we knew to do to help her through those problems,We went up to her apartment above our garage and she was laying there for approx. 15 hours . Needless to say you can only imagine the scene we saw. I have seen alot of disappointment in my life time through 66 years but the scene I saw will forever haunt my mind.As time went on I thought it would get better but I believe it gets worse sleepless nights, break downs when least expected and the guilt I have for letting my baby girl  die alone. As time went on I knew I had to do something to keep her dreams alive.

Ann was the most loving child that I have ever been around . She saw no fault or bad in no one . I don;t care if they was black ,white ,brown, gay ,or trans she saw no bad in anyone. She loved kids and wanted to have one of her own someday but unfortunately God had other plans.Ann thought everyone was her friend and when one of her friends convinced her that fentanyl would not hurt her she began taking fentanyl in the form of a pill. She was 24 1\2 years old she had Asma ,a d h d  , depression and became an addict , because I did not understand the drug fentanyl. I thought that fentanyl pills was a painkiller with a touch of fentanyl in it. I knew it was dangerous but how dangerous I could have never imagined .I blame myself for not educating myself about the killer that was before my eyes and I could not even see it. I started the foundation on helping kids that was less fortunate than most of us .Our primary goal is to donate a check every year to St. Jude's Children Hospital and if donations are enough we are going to add Shriner's hospital to the fund..We know that $ 1.63 donations is a small amount but with the economy as tight as it is on alot of people we do not want to ask for too much..So what we are asking is for you to donate $1.63 a month to Ann;s Foundation so we can keep her dream alive and write a check to St,Jude's Children Hospital in Ann;s name every August 5th on Ann's birthday. Thank you in advance ,Ann's Dad Terry Lane Wilcher Sr.

Ann's Foundation For Kids was founded with a mission to create joy and support for sick children. Ann, believed in the healing power of happiness and wanted to provide a supportive community for families facing health challenges.
